What to Expect
Higdon Large Animal Services is an entirely mobile practice that comes to you to serve the needs of your farm animals. When Dr. Higdon pulls up on your farm, he is begins to observe your animals before stepping out of the truck. This is the best time to assess the general health of your animals as presence of a “stranger” creates a false sense of health. Animals that you are concerned about will receive a full physical exam from nose to tail to fully assess their health status.
Higdon Large Animal Services utilizes state of the art laboratory services offered by Antech Diagnostics and C.E. Kord Animal Health Diagnostics laboratories. We are also very fortunate to have the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in our back yard where, in the event of serious surgical emergencies, your animal may be referred for hospitalized care.
Dr. Higdon looks forward to meeting you. Keep an eye out for the big grey RAM 1500 to pull up on your farm!
